In a society which does not encourage women to take chances and risks, #MakerKT wants to equip female entrepreneurs with practical skills required to make their ventures more successful in a resource-strapped city like Kathmandu. #MakerKT regularly conducts DIY workshops with women to get them to use more tools, be more independent and empowered by their abilities. In the spirit of independence and self-reliance, we are organising a month-long series of workshops this Mangsir 2074 focussed on entrepreneurship for women this Mangsir called “#MakerKT’s SheEO Series: For Fresh, Female Entrepreneurs”.

Our hands-on workshops range from how to kickstart your business, acing your business idea, successfully marketing in digital media, making videos using your smartphones to the building customer relationships, making a prototype app, making a website and identifying your brand. Through these workshops, we want to boost the entrepreneurial potential of women whether their business is at the ideation phase, seed phase or expansion phase.

Each workshop is offered as a separate workshop and the participants will be able to pick and choose the workshops they wish to attend. The workshops will provide a unique opportunity for the women to interact and network with fellow female entrepreneurs in a safe, non-judgmental environment where they can share their experiences and learn from each other. The workshops will take place at various venues throughout the city.

This project will be taken forward as an in-house initiation of #MakerKT to spark and promote the entrepreneurial spirit in young Nepali women.
