Understanding the electrical system in our homes and learning how to fix common electrical problems
In June 2016, a year after our original #MakerKT workshop, we had a two-week long electrical workshop. Eleven women, in six sessions, learned the basics of electricity and home electrical systems and got briefed on the basics of inverters and motors.
In each session they got a hands-on experience with various electrical component and learned how to wire plugs and sockets. In the last session, they made a hanging lamp, complete with a plug and light switch!
Santoshi Ghimire, an instructor from UCEP, was our fantastic instructor! Electric Light Solution in Putalisadak and Kiran R. Joshi provided us with all the materials used in the workshop.
Below are the photos from our electrifying workshop!
